Time
flies when you are having fun. We must be having so much fun because it seems
like we put together a Christmas greeting letter just the other day. We ARE
having fun. This year we have been up and down I-95 so much (14 times)
that we know the menus at the Cracker Barrels better than the waitresses. There
is still one more trip before the end of the year, so that will make 15. We have
actually been home for 3 weeks now and we have managed to decorate the outside
of the house with many lights. Here in the south we do not have the chilly
weather to put us in the Christmas spirit so we decorate, decorate and decorate
some more. This is our 2nd Christmas here and we are beginning to learn the
customs. Last week we participated in the annual nighttime
Hinesville Christmas parade. We had a float with puppets and about 14 clowns
walking along the parade route. The puppets were singing Happy Birthday Jesus
and we had lots of lights. We had a generator running the lights and sound
system. The generator was a little noisy but our sound system managed to drown
it out. The clowns were clown cars: each had flashlights attached to their feet,
a Bethesda church license plate on the rear, a steering wheel of some sort
(mostly hula hoops) and of course a horn. The clowns had a blast! We started a
group of clowns this year. They are in training but they have done one show and
one parade and they will be in the New Years Eve variety show at our church.
We have done lots of conferences and conventions this year. There are two
things that stand out in particular. In April we went to the World Clown
Association Convention in Orlando Fl. The highlight of that convention and
probably of our entire year was that we were in the clown parade that leads the
Disney parade down Main Street USA, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World! Jim still
talks about all the fun he had. He would love to do that again, well, yes both
of us would.
As always, if the Lord brings us to your mind
please stop and pray for us and we will certainly do the same for you. God Bless
you, please let us hear from you.
We love you.
Jim and Bonnie.
